I have a challenge for you:
Take back YOUR TIME.
Start using your phone’s Do Not Disturb feature during family time. Set it so that you don’t receive any texts or alerts. The difference between Do Not Disturb and Silent is that you can have it setup to allow phone calls to come through.
In my mind, if someone is calling me it is probably important. This seems to ring true as time marches forward and people call less and less, but text more and more. Calls are for emergencies in my opinion so I want to receive those right away.
Alerts are just distracting you away from what matters. YOUR TIME.
